BIAL Foundation opens a new call for Grants for Scientific Research

To encourage research into the healthy human being, both from the physical and spiritual point of view, the BIAL Foundation now opens a new call for its Grants Programme for Scientific Research 2024/2025 in the areas of Psychophysiology and Parapsychology.

The Regulation and online application are available here. Applications are open until August 31, 2024.

In the 2024/2025 edition, the maximum amount will be €60.000 per project. The amount to be granted is fixed by the BIAL Foundation according to the needs of each project.

Over the years the BIAL Foundation has developed an important relationship with the scientific community, first in Portugal and then worldwide. "Over the last 30 years, we've been very pleased to have continued to support research in the health sciences and, above all, in the areas of neuroscience and parapsychology, bringing them closer together. We aim to continue to stimulate good scientific production that benefits people, both in terms of knowledge and health gains", says Luís Portela, chairman of the BIAL Foundation.

In total, in the 15 editions already organised, the Foundation has approved for funding 865 projects involving 1702 researchers from 30 countries. Of these projects, 847 have been supported and have so far resulted in the publication of 2457 articles, of which 1957 in indexed journals, and 1718 in journals with an average impact factor of 4.2 and 383 in journals with an impact factor greater than or equal to 5.
