Marylin Schlitz, PhD

Professor of Transpersonal Psychology Sofia University, USA

She is a Professor of Transpersonal Psychology at Sofia University (USA), President Emeritus, and a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences in California (USA). As a Research Scientist, Anthropologist, and Writer, she is dedicated to clinical, laboratory, and field-based research on consciousness, healing, and transformation. She has authored and co-authored numerous books, including “Consciousness and healing: Integral approaches to mind body medicine” (2004), “Living deeply: The art and science of transformation in everyday life” (2008), and “Death makes life possible” (2015).

She earned her master’s degree in Behavioral and Social Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio (USA) and holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin (USA).

Additionally, she has taught at Trinity University, Stanford University, and Harvard Medical Centers, and served as a Senior Scientist at the California Pacific Medical Center.
