She is a Neuropsychologist and the Head of the Sensation and Perception Research Group, GIGA Consciousness, at the University of Liège (Belgium). She is also a Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center of Algology at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Liège (Belgium). Her work focuses on the clinical applications, phenomenological experiences, and neurophysiological correlates of altered states of consciousness, including cognitive trance, hypnosis, and meditation.
She holds a master’s degree in Psychology and Education Sciences from the University of Mons (Belgium) and earned a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Liège (Belgium).
Additionally, she has served as a Professor of Cognitive Psychology at the University of Mons (Belgium) and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and the University of Liège (Belgium).
